Join us on a complimentary 3-day tour of Anguo, a vital growing and trading center for Chinese herbs and visit our Mayway Hebei herb processing facility.  Mayway will host a Welcome Dinner in Beijing and cover all transportation, food, and lodging during the tour.  Participants will also be able to earn complimentary CEUs.
After a Mayway Welcome Dinner in Beijing the evening of April 20th, the next morning a luxury tour bus will whisk us to Anguo, where participants will be immersed in herb cultivation, processing and trading.
In addition to herb related Anguo City sights, a comprehensive tour of Mayway Hebei, Mayway’s herb processing facility will be conducted.  At Mayway Hebei, participants will be able to see first-hand the skill and science of herb processing. Our GMP certified Model Enterprise is opening its doors for the first time for touring. Participants will have the rare opportunity to observe the intricate and elaborate methods and techniques involved in the correct processing of Chinese herbal medicine.
Participants will also be earning CEUs during the trip (approximately 18) as lectures will be given throughout the trip in addition to CEUs earned from touring and even lunch.

Lecture Details:
Anguo City: Ancient Herb Capital
History and present economy of Anguo, one of China’s ancient herb capitals. This lecture will broaden participants’ understanding of the history of herbal medicine in China – in particular, how Chinese medicinal herbs are cultivated, prepared, and traded.
Herb Cultivation: Quality & Safety
Local experts in the field of modern herb cultivation will join our lecturers from the U.S. to discuss important issues related to quality and safety. Topics to be explored include: cultivation and wild-crafting, wild herbs, endangered herbs, use of pesticides, fungicides and herbicides in the cultivation of Chinese herbs, sulfuring and preservation, as well as a discussion of China’s domestic organic certification system.
Herbal Dietary Therapy
During lunch each day participants will be served meals prepared with medicinal and culinary Chinese herbs. Dishes will be presented with the therapeutic attributes of each herbal ingredient.
